1. Hometown
San Diego, California
2. Why CSG?
Not only do I enjoy the friendly, unique atmosphere, but I love working with genuine people. It’s nice to actually enjoy your work place.
3. Favorite recreation location/ski or golf resort
Keystone.
4. What unique perspective do you offer to your customers?
A younger point of view on gear, clothes, etc. Parents come in all the time wondering what to get their teenager.
5. What do your customers like most about you?
I’ve been told that I am “a joy to work with.” Also, if a customer’s eight year old daughter isn’t around, they can use my body to size… (being little has some perks).
6. Describe a memorable situation in which you really had an impact on a customer
A deaf and dumb man came in to the store a couple of weeks ago looking to buy gear for his wife- we had conversations for about 30 minutes without even using words. He seemed pleased that I took the time to work with him and help him without getting frustrated. It was new for me because it’s a whole different way of communicating- I also learned some sign language. When he left, he did the Thank You sign about a million times. I just hope I had as much of an impact on him as he did on me.
7. Favorite sporting event
Spanish soccer!
8. Most memorable moment skiing/golfing?
The first time I hit a box a couple of years ago- it felt gooood. It was my friend’s third time up and she hit it right after. I never thought either of us would have the guts.
9. Favorite piece of equipment
Ride jacket and bindings.
10. Favorite accessory or gadget
Skull candy headphones- riding’s ten times better with some good music.
11. Best gift at CSG under $50
I’d go with the headphones, especially for someone who doesn’t have any yet.
12. Best equipment selection advice
Don’t make graphics your number one priority; it seems like that’s all anyone’s worried about. Go with something that’s comfortable and durable- whether it be a jacket, bindings, boots, or whatever. You’re going to want to get something to last.
13. What do you carry in your ski jacket/golf bag
Those power bars the resorts give out for free… always a good snack. And a Charleston Chew isn’t bad to keep in your pocket either- especially when they’re frozen. Delicious.
14. Best ski day/golf outing snack/meal
A peanut butter and jelly sandwich never fails. Chipotle always tops off a good day of riding, too.
15. What’s on your play list?
As for boarding music, my play list might look something like this… Clapton, Rx Bandits, Ben Harper, Led Zeppelin, CSS, Hendrix
16. Favorite sports team
I can’t say I have one…
17. Where is the coolest place you have ever been?
St. Mary’s Glacier, it’s beautiful up there. Although the answer to this question could change after we take a trip to Hanging Lake this summer.
18. Name your top three non-ski/golf activities
school, soccer, and work.
19. Where can you usually be found?
At school, at work, or on Wadsworth. Haha I swear I go up and down that street at least a thousand times in one day.
