Awesome all-around ski if you prefer to spend most of your time in the back bowls but still hit the front occasionally. Still stiff enough to rip the front but are great in powder too, though I found them to be sometimes too stiff in deep powder.

One of three pairs of all mountain rippers in my quiver and in soft snow, my hands down fave. This ski rails on groomers, yet floats effortlessly in powder. Made for the Back Bowls, but performs admirably on the front side, as well as all over the mountain. The Mantras grip like a pit bull on the steeps, lays deep trenches on the groomers, ultra stable at cheek-flapping speeds and just plain scads o' fun...
Granted, they're girthy, so if your lazy or not on your game, they'll buck you around in the bumps and trees, but if you're an old bumper with solid technique, this ski is plenty capable of snapping off quick turns.
I've had two pairs, including this years (much better graphics than the red eye sores from a few years back), and highly recommend to any aggressive skier who prefers seeking out his own lines all over the hill.
